Dozens of listed companies earn revenue from space, and they fall into a few groups: launch and space systems (SpaceX, Rocket Lab, Intuitive Machines, Redwire), satellite operators (AST SpaceMobile, Iridium, Viasat, Globalstar, SES, Eutelsat), data and imaging (Planet Labs, BlackSky, Spire), and the defense and aerospace suppliers behind most government space work. The list below is the set of tickers Martian Alpha, a research terminal for the space economy (space stocks, launches, contracts, filings and private space companies in one place, free to start), has a company page for as of October 28, 2026. It is a research starting point, not a recommendation. Not financial advice.

SpaceX has been public since its June 12, 2026 IPO and trades on Nasdaq as SPCX, so it belongs in the first row of any list. The sections below group companies by what space revenue means for them, because a pure launch company and a diversified defense prime behave very differently.

How to use the list#

A ticker alone doesn't tell you what moves a stock. For each company, check its launch schedule and history, recent filings and insider activity, and government contract awards. Our guide to researching space stocks walks through the filings in order, and how to invest in the space economy compares stocks, ETFs and private routes. If you would rather hold a basket, see space ETF vs space stocks.
