Frequently asked questions
- What is Martian Alpha?
- Martian Alpha (martianalpha.com) is a space data terminal: it follows launches, satellites and the night sky like a stock ticker, links them to the 68 public space companies it tracks and to private space companies, with the dates, filings and contracts that move them. It was built by Nethan Nerella.
- Is Martian Alpha only for investors?
- No. Investors get space stocks, a screener, catalysts and contract data, but sky-watchers and astrophysics fans use it too: a live ISS and Starlink tracker, the night sky for your location, a deep-space mission tracker, a 3D solar system, an exoplanet explorer and space weather, plus AI that answers astronomy and astrophysics questions.
- Is Martian Alpha free?
- Yes. The core terminal is free forever: the dashboard, screener, launch calendar, catalyst feed, company profiles, contract awards and watchlist alerts. Paid plans ($5–$100 per month) add bigger watchlists, data exports and pro tools.
- Which space stocks does Martian Alpha cover?
- Launch providers, satellite operators, Earth-observation and space-infrastructure companies, defense-space contractors and space software firms, listed in the US and internationally, plus a directory of private space companies.
- What are Astro Agents?
- Astro Agents is Martian Alpha's AI agent platform: eight specialist agents for space equities, launches, astrophysics and deep space, propulsion and orbital engineering, private markets, government contracts, satellites and orbital risk, and catalysts. Give one mission and they divide it automatically, or you pick the team and link agents together. They work from Martian Alpha's own data plus live internet sources and any MCP servers you connect, can run long-range research with web search and follow-up passes, and write one sourced report. Every plan, including Free, can use all eight agents; usage is limited per 5-hour session and per week, and the limits rise with the plan.
- Can I use Martian Alpha with my own AI agent?
- Yes. Martian Alpha is an MCP server, so Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Claude Desktop, the Claude and OpenAI APIs or any MCP client can research with its data. Create an API key in Settings on any plan, including Free, and follow the setup at martianalpha.com/connect-agent.
- Where does the data come from?
- Martian Alpha combines licensed market-data providers for prices and fundamentals with public sources such as regulatory filings, government contract records and launch schedules, plus financial news feeds. The full list of providers is in our Privacy Policy.
- Is Martian Alpha financial advice?
- No. Martian Alpha provides data, analysis and research tools for informational purposes. Always do your own research before investing.
Not financial advice. All data and research shown is for informational purposes only.
