Astro Agents: AI agents for space research
Eight specialist AI agents, shown as Mars rovers and humanoid robots, that research astronomy, astrophysics, space engineering and the space economy together, using Martian Alpha's proprietary space data.
How a mission works
- Describe the mission in plain English, for example a bull and bear case for a launch company, a delta-v budget for a Mars probe, or whether an exoplanet is in its star's habitable zone.
- Let Astro HQ delegate it to the agents it needs, or pick the team yourself and drag white links between agents: a linked agent waits for the first one and builds on its findings.
- Each agent works with Martian Alpha's own data (prices, fundamentals, launches, contracts, filings, funding rounds, constellations, the Space Ledger and live space feeds) and an exact engineering and astrophysics calculator.
- Astro HQ merges the briefs into one report with the key numbers, risks and what to watch.
Long-range research
For deeper questions, long-range research lets the agents search the web and read whole pages, filings and papers; Astro HQ reviews their findings and sends follow-ups to fill gaps and resolve disagreements, and the report cites every source.
Connected to live sources and your MCP servers
Built-in internet connectors: arXiv research papers (arxiv.org), JPL small bodies & asteroid close approaches (ssd-api.jpl.nasa.gov), SEC EDGAR full-text search (efts.sec.gov), USAspending federal contracts (api.usaspending.gov), Federal Register rules & notices (federalregister.gov), CelesTrak satellite catalog (celestrak.org), Wikipedia (wikipedia.org). You can also connect any remote MCP server and choose which agents use it.

- Exact astrophysics: black holes, star brightness and distance, habitable zones, redshift
- Searches 6,000+ exoplanets; live distances of JWST and the Voyagers; space weather
ATLAS: Propulsion & Orbital Engineer
Does the rocket math and the physics exactly, never from memory.
Specialities: Delta-v budgets, Orbital mechanics, Link budgets, Vehicle trade studies.
- Exact rocket-equation, Hohmann, plane-change and orbit calculations
- Propellant mass, escape velocity, J2 drift and link margins
- Compares launch vehicles by payload, orbit and price per kg
- Searches the supplier and component directory
NOVA: Private Markets & Space Economy
Follows the money: rounds, valuations and the IPO queue.
Specialities: Funding rounds, Private companies, IPO & SPAC pipeline, Market sizing.
- Reads SEC Form D funding rounds and private-company profiles
- Tracks S-1/F-1 IPO filings in the space sector
- Maps supplier, customer and investor links between companies
- Uses the quarterly State of Space Equities report
ARTEMIS: Government Contracts & Policy
Decodes NASA, Space Force and DoD money and the rules behind it.
Specialities: Contract awards, Open solicitations, FCC/FAA/ITU filings, Macro & budgets.
- Reads contract awards and open government solicitations
- Summarises SEC, FCC, FAA, ITU and NOAA regulatory filings
- Connects awards to the listed companies that win them
- Uses Martian Alpha's macro briefing for space equities
CASSINI: Satellites & Orbital Risk
Watches constellations, near-misses and the space environment.
Specialities: Constellation pace, Collision risk, Space weather impact, Operator exposure.
- Tracks satellites launched vs planned for Starlink, Kuiper and more
- Reads the riskiest satellite close approaches in the next 24 h
- Links storms, debris and conjunctions to operator stocks
- Uses the Space Ledger's constellation and close-approach history
PULSAR: Catalysts, Sentiment & Supply Chain
Hears the news first and traces who it ripples through.
Specialities: Catalyst feed, Insider activity, Supply-chain ripples, Community forecasts.
- Reads market-moving catalysts across every tracked company
- Spots insider buying and selling (Form 4)
- Traces supplier and customer links to second-order effects
- Reads community predictions and their track record
Usage limits by plan
Every plan can use all eight agents. Each plan has a 5-hour session limit and a weekly limit, and each mission uses an amount that depends on how much work it takes: more agents, more lookups and stronger models use more.
| Plan | Typical missions per 5-hour session | Typical missions per week |
|---|---|---|
| Free | about 6 | about 20 |
| Space Enthusiast | about 12 | about 50 |
| Space Professional | about 12 | about 58 |
| Space Entrepreneur | about 14 | about 68 |
| Space Business | about 22 | about 100 |

About the astro agents: ai agents for space research
Astro Agents is Martian Alpha's AI agent platform: eight specialist agents for astronomy and astrophysics, space engineering and the space economy. Give one mission and they divide it, research it with Martian Alpha's own database and an exact engineering and astrophysics calculator, and hand back one report.
- What can Astro Agents do?
- Equity research on listed space companies, launch schedules and reliability, astrophysics and deep-space questions, delta-v and propellant budgets, private funding and IPOs, government contracts and regulatory filings, constellation pace and collision risk, and catalysts and supply-chain ripples. They combine these in one report.
- How is it different from ChatGPT or Claude on their own?
- The agents read Martian Alpha's proprietary space data directly (quotes, fundamentals, CANSLIM scores, launch history and slips, contract awards, Form D rounds, S-1 filings, constellation counts, close approaches and the Space Ledger), follow space-analyst playbooks, and run engineering and astrophysics math in an exact calculator instead of estimating it.
- Can I choose which agents work on a task?
- Yes. Leave it on Auto-delegate and Astro HQ picks the agents, or switch to Pick & connect, choose your team and drag white links between agents to make one wait for and build on another.
- Can the agents do long, in-depth research?
- Yes. Switch a mission to Long-range research and the agents search the web, read whole pages, filings and papers, and Astro HQ reviews their findings and sends them back to fill gaps and check disagreements before writing a report that cites every source. It takes a few minutes and uses more of your limits.
- Can I connect my own tools or MCP servers?
- Yes. Every agent already uses built-in internet connectors for its speciality (SEC EDGAR, USAspending, the Federal Register, arXiv, JPL small bodies, the CelesTrak satellite catalog and Wikipedia), and you can connect any remote MCP server on the internet and choose which agents may use it. Agents only use connected tools to look things up unless your mission asks for an action.
- How do the limits work?
- Each plan has a usage limit that resets every 5 hours and a weekly limit. Every plan can use all 8 agents; what changes is how much work fits in your limits. A mission uses more when it involves more agents, more lookups or stronger models. Free covers a few typical missions per session; Space Business has the highest limits and an optional Deep mode.
- Is it financial advice?
- No. Reports are AI-generated research from Martian Alpha data, can contain mistakes, and never tell you to buy or sell.
Data may be delayed. Not financial advice.
